They will be displayed right on the Opportunity Details page, so the volunteers will know what you need right off the bat!
Your opportunity description should be a straightforward explanation of what the volunteer opportunity entails, but feel free to elaborate a bit on the impact of the opportunity. Remember to proofread your listing!
Do you want your volunteers to have specific skills or experience? Is there anything the volunteer will be required to have or do in order to participate? No problem!
You can add desired skills and requirements to your opportunities to give volunteers more information about what's involved and what you're looking for. Lots of volunteers search for opportunities based on their specific skill set, so adding this information will help the right volunteers find you.
When you're adding a new opportunity or editing an existing one, you'll be given the option to list the skills and requirements. We've got a library of common skills for you to choose from. Photography, mentoring -- you name it.
Another perk: we share our skilled opportunities with LinkedIn, which gives your need a wider audience! Just be sure to have your LinkedIn's company ID added.
You can also indicate whether an opportunity has requirements for volunteer participation. We provide 5 general requirement types, including:
- Drivers License
- Background Check
- Minimum Age
- Time Commitment.
