What if I Haven't I Had Any Recent Connections?

If you haven't found much success finding volunteers through VolunteerMatch, you might try one or more of the following tips to maximize your recruiting efforts.

• Provide more detailed descriptions of your current opportunities
• Help volunteers to match their particular skills and interests with your volunteer needs. We always recommend using specific, "catchy" language when outlining your opportunities. 
• List more opportunities and more specific opportunities 
• In our experience the most effective way to recruit volunteers is to list detailed opportunities which clearly communicate to potential volunteers what they will be doing and where and when they will be doing it. We welcome organizations to create multiple listings outlining the specific roles that volunteers can fill in their organization.
