Registering your organization on VolunteerMatch

Select Your Organization Type

The first step to registering your organization is choosing your organization type.  We welcome federally recognized nonprofits, state level nonprofits, government organizations, hospitals, hospices, schools, and charity organizations based outside of the United States.

 Create Your Administrator Profile

The next step to registering your organization is creating your administrator profile. Select 'Continue with Google' to use Google or manually add your information.  You'll use the email and password you enter here to log into VolunteerMatch.org. You will need to verify your email before you can move on to the next step.

Create your organization profile

The next step is to create your organization's profile. The information you provide here will give potential volunteers more information about your organization and the type of work you do. Volunteers often want to know more about the cause they're supporting, so we recommend being as thorough as possible when filling this out! 

You can also give a face to your organization by uploading a profile picture or logo (images 150 pixels by 150 pixels work best) and linking to your website or social media channels.

Create your first volunteer opportunity

Finally, you'll create your first volunteer opportunity! Once your organization is approved, your opportunity will be posted to the site and visible to the thousands of volunteers who visit VolunteerMatch every day!

Your organization will receive an email whenever a new volunteer expresses interest in your opportunity.

If your organization isn't approved automatically, we'll respond within 2-3 business days. Check the email you used to register if approval is still pending after this period. We may have asked for more information. The review and approval of your registration may take longer, depending on the situation.
