Interested in recruiting some awesome volunteers? With VolunteerMatch, you can meet your volunteer needs in no time — recruitment has never been simpler or quicker!
Here's how it works:
- After you've registered your organization, you can post a volunteer opportunity to VolunteerMatch.
When volunteers visit volunteermatch.org or one of our network partners, they search for opportunities in their communities; they may also enter a keyword, select a Cause Area or age group filter, or search by skill to narrow down their results. Make sure to select cause areas and skills to your opportunities to ensure the right volunteers can find you!
We'll instantly present them with a list of opportunities matching their search criteria. Search results are by default sorted by distance and date created. If you're a VolunteerMatch Pro Member, you can achieve higher visibility in the search results and reach a wider audience by using the one-click reposting tool!
After reviewing their matches, volunteers will express interest in their preferred opportunities by clicking the I want to help! button. Want to speed up the screening process? You can add a Volunteer Questionnaire to your opportunity. Volunteers will answer your custom questions at this time.
- We'll send them an email confirming their action. This message will also include the opportunity contact's email and phone number (if provided). You can customize the email volunteers receive by creating a custom greeting.
- Your organization's contact for this opportunity will automatically receive a connection email with the volunteer's contact information, any message they chose to send you, and their answers to your custom questions (if applicable)!
And voila! You've just connected with your first prospective volunteer. How easy was that?
Remember, volunteers are waiting to hear back from you and often very eager to get started. Please follow up with them as soon as you can.
