About the Volunteer Engagement Service

Volunteer Engagement is a service included with Pro Membership that will allow you to better engage with your volunteers. You can use this service to manage the process of moving your connections through the stages of becoming a full-fledged volunteer with your organization whether you have an application process, background checks, or just need to keep track of who you have already been in contact with. You can also use this system as a database to create custom fields for your volunteers and identify potential donors to your org. 

Below is an overview of the features and some links to specific tutorials. 

• Main Volunteer Engagement Dashboard—Shows the connections made with your opportunities by status, and allows you to access them and send communications from right within VolunteerMatch. 
• Create Custom Fields—Add fields that you can manage on a volunteer’s profile, allowing you to track and organize your volunteers more effectively.
• Search and Manage Individual Volunteer Profiles—Search for volunteers by name or filters; manage specific volunteer information on a profile for each of your connections, where you can update statuses, modify the custom attributes you’ve created, and make notes about each volunteer for your records.
